In this thesis I argue that the obligation to love based on the Christian tradition requires Christians to disperse their resources in a way that significantly evens out wealth distribution and increases social justice. Christians disagree on the terminology and some tenets of the goal of the Christian life (e.g., deification, beatific vision, communion with God, salvation). In 2012, in Tucson, Arizona, conservative Superintendent of Education Tom Horne used House Bill (HB) 2281 to outlaw Tucson High School’s Mexican American Studies (TUSD/MAS) program. Despite demonstrated increases in graduation rates and state test scores (Cabrera, Milem, and Marx 2012), the social justice program was dismantled and books from the curriculum were banned, including Paulo. The successor to Raspbian 95, Raspbian XP, and other themed Pi operating systems, Twister OS is based on Raspberry Pi OS and features the Xfce desktop environment. A selection of desktop themes, inspired by Windows and Mac operating systems, are preinstalled. So, you'll find Windows 95, XP, Vista, and 7 themes, along with the Mac-inspired. US education is situated not only in the midst of the novel coronavirus pandemic but also in longstanding “pandemics” of oppression, including but not limited to systemic racism. In this paper, the authors critique the oppressive aspects of traditional SEL and introduce the concept of Social Emotional Learning for Social Emotional Justice (SEL-SEJ).

The purpose of this Article is to examine workers' rights under Islamic law. Companies claiming to be in compliance with the Islamic Shari'ah must look beyond the forms of the transactions and the content of the products they sell. The companies and their Shari'ah advisors must also examine the treatment of the workers employed by the companies. If the workers are not being treated fairly, in accordance with Islamic law, the owners of these companies and their Shari'ah advisors should not claim that the companies and their products are Shari'ah-compliant. As this Article shows, the fair treatment of workers is relevant to the analysis of whether a company is Shari'ah-compliant. The Qu'ran, the teachings of the Prophet (P.B.U.H.), and the writings of the scholars are replete with instructions regarding the fair treatment of workers. Furthermore, as Islamic law is religious law, the fair treatment of workers is not only a legal duty that might arise under international labor standards or labor codes of specific countries, but it is a moral and religious duty as well. The ethical standards incorporated into the Islamic law governing the relationship between employers and employees cannot be discounted by those who profess to be good Muslims, or by the companies that claim to be in compliance with the Islamic Shari'ah.
